Delirium – debut night a massive success!

If you were lucky enough to be in The Moon club in Cardiff last Tuesday night, you will have danced the night away to some seriously bouncing tunes!

The first event from Psychedelic Tiger was a raging success with over 100 people attending over the course of the night!

With music catering for all dancing tastes from house to techno to drum and bass, the last kick drum boomed around the club at just after 3am, sending many ravers home (or to the next place) happy.

"I was delighted with the turnout and simply blown away by the artistry from the DJ's and Missy G, the MC.  Of course, I was a little apprehensive as this was the first night from Psychedelic Tiger and to make matters more nervy, I was being followed by a BBC TV crew all day" - Owner, Gareth Johnson.

The night started with Chris Allison, a house DJ, that got the place nice and grooved.  However, the next DJ, Fez, was taken ill that morning!  Thankfully Kooley (an artist performing later in the evening) brought along a legend to the DJ scene - Stu Grady.

Stu finished work and with only a few hours notice, rocked up to the venue and quite simply smashed it with some house and techno.  Legend!

Next up was Kooley a DnB master in the area, his set was amazing with techno vibes before moving into some DnB.  Kooley was joined by the one and only Missy G, an MC with serious flare!

Missy rocked the night encouraging ravers to "move your waistline to the bassline" with DJ Stel laying some filthy DnB.  The final artist was Lubi J, a local legend in the scene and a lovely woman.  Heavily involved in the 'Ladies of Rage' and the DJ on Cardiff Radio, Lubi nailed her set with both Missy G and Stel spitting on the mic!

"Ha! I always say I'll give anything a go, but I didn't expect to be MC'ing at my own event!  I reckon I got maybe one line that was acceptable the rest was terrible!  I think the crowd liked the fact that I tried anyway."

When asked if Gareth would be performing at his events again he mentioned it's a possibility!

"In the future I'll definitely be mixing at my events, however, I have another trick up my sleeve for upcoming events!  Think, chilled out Timmy Trumpet ... That's all I'm saying"
